Sunday Mornings

The Sunday morning service starts at 10.30am and lasts for about one hour. Services include readings, prayers, hymns/choruses, reflections and a sermon. We use the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible and our worship songs are projected onto large screens. Music is usually (if at all possible) provided by our musicians; styles vary between a music group, piano and organ.

There is ramp access and a loop sound system. We have material available for younger children, please ask the stewards about this.

We always finish our time together with refreshments served in the rear hall.

Communion

Do this in remembrance of me…For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
1 Corinthians 11:23-25

On the 3rd Sunday of every month our service includes communion. Communion or the "Lord's Supper" is an act of worship that involves eating bread and drinking wine. As we share bread and wine together we tell the story of salvation in words and actions.

We have an "Open Table" which means that anyone who knows Jesus as saviour is invited to join us in taking bread and wine. For visitors this usually means that if you would normally take communion in your own church you are welcome to do so here. You do not have to be either a Baptist or a church member.

We usually eat the bread as we are served. Wine is served in individual glasses and we wait for all to be served before drinking together.
