The church is a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the South Eastern Baptist Association and Churches Together in Headcorn.

Our vision for the future is to grow this Christian community with new disciples of Jesus while retaining the intimacy and high involvement of the members.  We want to enable people from Headcorn and the surrounding villages to encounter Jesus, engage with God, to develop spiritually and to put faith into practice.

Baptists are not a strange sect. We are part of the multi-faceted Church of God throughout the world. Like other mainstream denominations we hold a Trinitarian faith in one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Today there are some fifty million members of the worldwide Baptist family affiliated to the Baptist World Alliance.

We believe in God who created and who sustains the whole universe. We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, God who became a human being in Jesus and is Saviour and Lord of all who put their faith in Him. We believe in the Holy Spirit, God present in the world and in the Church.

Each local Baptist Church is governed by its members with the guidance of an elected group of Trustees who are usually called Deacons. The Members’ Meeting seeks to make its decisions under the guidance of the Holy Spirit after prayer and discussion.

Baptists practice the baptism by total immersion of believers who confess their repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord and commit themselves to living lives worthy of disciples of Jesus.
